Emerald Health Services is hiring a Travel RN – CVICU

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hours per week
Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:
  • 3 years experience
  • BLS, CRRT, ICP, CCRN
  • Strong Cardiac experience, Respiratory, Stroke, Sepsis, DKA, Post-operative complication, pre-post cardiac cath experience requireD. Central line placement, arterial line placement, EKG, Peripheral A-Line experience required. Cardiac drips: norepinepherine, dopamine, vasopressin, neosynepherine, epi, amino, Drips: precedex, propofol, heparin. Intubation, tracheostomy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, dialysis catheter placement, therapeutic hypothermia
  • Pacemaker, sheath removal preferred
  • Vents, IV start, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation
  • Must have strong code management skills – defibrillation skills, skills assessment
  • EPIC Charting
  • Epic experience preferred
Other Details:
CVICU RN – 3/12s Nights – 4/5 Start Date • MUST have 3 YEARS experience • Accepts strong 1st time travelers • Patient Population: o Adult ICU, No trauma, No BMT. Covers all other ICU illnesses and conditions, including but not limited to: Must have strong Cardiac experience, Respiratory, Stroke, Sepsis, DKA, Post-operative complication, pre-post cardiac cath experience required STEMI patients, chest pain, MI o CVICU – (CTICU) cardiothoracic surgery (will specify if this type of TN needed)/ Neuro assessment – strong skills – hemorrhagic stroke • Required Skills: o central line placement o arterial line placement o EKG o Peripheral A-Line experience required. o Cardiac drips: norepinepherine, dopamine, vasopressin, neosynepherine, epi, amino o Drips: precedex, propofol, heparin o intubation o tracheostomy o thoracentesis o paracentesis o dialysis catheter placement o therapeutic hypothermia o IABP – only if specified CVICU/CTICU o pacemaker o sheath removal preferred o vents o IV start o Telemetry o Conscious Sedation o must have strong code management skills – defibrillation skills o skills assessment – Neuro Stroke Assessment skills – must be 3 or more • Required Certs: o ACLS o BCLS o NIH • Preferred Certs & Skills: o CRRT – preferred, not required o ICP – preferred, not required o PA Lines o CCRN • Unit Details: o Average Daily Census: 20 o 34 beds o Ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 o Float Required if not needed in ICU FLOAT- MS/Tele, SDU o 3-4 WEEKEND SHIFT PER MONTH o EPIC Charting o Navy Scrubs

CVICU

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
