New Start FAQs

Welcome to the Emerald family! In addition to your onboarding email, we would like to provide some additional information to get you prepared for your new assignment:

  • ADP Registration: On this website you can check pay stubs, file sick IF you qualify, update tax information, update direct deposit information, and find W2s at the end of the year.

    • Click on “CREATE ACCOUNT”
    • Use the “Find Me” option to register with Tempus LLC and continue to create an account.

 

  • Stipends: Are paid weekly with W-2 wages so long as you work your full contracted hours.

 

  • Stipend Withholding: When contracted hours are not met for the week, there is a pro-rated amount calculated for withholding and this withholding will go into a “bucket”. (Shift difference * WH rate = Stipend WH)

 

  • Stipend Refund: You will receive a refund only if there is stipend withholding in your “bucket” AND you work more than your contracted hours. (Shift difference * refund rate = Stipend refund)

 

  • Extra shift compensation: Compensation is received when the hours worked exceed contracted hours and you do NOT have stipend withholding in your stipend “bucket”.

 

  • Sick:
    • Per Sick Law, IF you are in a state with a sick policy, you will start accruing hours on your first day but will need to wait 90 days to use it.
    • IF you are eligible, please file all sick time in ADP via the “Myself”- “Time Off”- “Request Time Off” tabs when submitting time to Emerald.
    • Please note that sick hours are NOT subject to receiving your full stipend. In addition, worked hours+ sick time may NOT exceed your contracted hours.

 

  • Deadlines to Remember:
    • Sunday 10AM Portal time entry is due (wand, PeopleNet, Fieldglass…etc.)
    • Monday 10AM Timecards, back up timecards and sick requests due

 

  • Payroll Website (Click Here): Here you can find your facility to submit time each week AND use the “Quicklinks” to make updates to:
    • Direct Deposit
    • Permanent Tax Declaration Form
    • W-4, and you may also
    • Complete Module Timesheet
