How to Live Your Best Life as a Travel Registered Nurse

How to Live Your Best Life as a Travel Registered NurseLet’s be real – if you’re a travel registered nurse, you’re already living your best life. But if you’re looking for ways to experience your time on the road even more vibrantly, we’ve come up with the list for you. Whether you’re single and hoping to mingle, dating long distance, traveling with your spouse/partner/family, or focusing on yourself, you can make the most out of your travel adventure.

  1. Stay in touch with family and friends who are back home. They’ll always be your biggest support.
Facetime and texting make it easier than ever to be in constant communication with your friends and family. Start a group text where you can share your experiences with them, and vice versa. Get retro and write some snail mail – *hint hint* you might just start receiving care packages in return!
  2. Challenge yourself to do something out of your comfort zone.
    Travel nurse jobs
are gutsy in and of itself, so you might as well have fun! Post pictures or stories on your Instagram, and your friends will be jealous they’re not snow shoeing or whale-watching.
  3. Take yourself out on a date.
Get your nails done, get a massage, and buy a new outfit. Or as we like to say: treat yo’self.
  4. Balance your health
Eat better by planning your meals each week. If you have more time, try to hit the gym. Not a fan of using weight machines? Take a Zumba class. Don’t be too hard on yourself though – you’ve got to try the Philly Cheese Steak if you’re in Philadelphia, or the cheesecake if you’re in NYC. Local legends are a must!
  5. Start the #100dayschallenge on Instagram
Post something interesting about your day. It can be this food truck you tried out, a mountain that you hiked or a new friend you made. We want to see your photos! Tag us @CirrusMedicalStaffing and/or use hashtag #CirrusTraveler.
  6. Talk to different people with different personalities.
Meeting so many new people can be a great way to expand your horizons and learn new perspectives. Being a travel registered nurse can push you outside your normal circles, which can lead to new friendships.
