Nothing gets better on a road trip than munching on some snacks… healthy or not-so-healthy, to be honest. Fast food and convenient stores are the typical go-tos for travel nurses but there’s an unexplainable sense of satisfaction when you pack your own goodies, play your favorite song, turn the volume up and head out on the open road.
Fruits and vegetables are always a great option. You can fill up zip-lock bags with apples, grapes, carrots, cucumbers and a lot more. To make them more interesting, how about baking them as chips? This is a great way to consume more nutrients and still get that crisp and crunch you crave. Another way is to slice them into sticks and place them in a mason jar with a dip like hummus or guacamole. Now that sounds delicioso!
